Rare German WW2 badge used by Polish forced workers with letter P + document
For your viewing is a rare badge used by Polish-forced-workers with letter “P” (for “Pole”), badge worn by forced labourers working in German arms facilities. The official German records for the late summer of 1944 listed 1.4 million Polish civilian workers and prisoners of war in the territory of the "Greater German Reich", who for the most part had been brought there for employment by force. Many of these labourers never returned home to Poland as they perished in terrible condition of over work, many were sent to concentration camps and others were murdered as real or perceived saboteurs. For sell is also the ration card belonged to the same person.
This particular patch passed very important test - it does not glow under the black lamp (all fabrics after 1945 glow under the black light) - please look at the image (for compare I put on the last image patch which glow under a black lamp). Also the piece have an old smell that old authentic cloth keeps.
The item is from a private museum "Jewish Memory". The owner of a museum wants to donate the items and to sell some of them. Unfortunately all particular information for some items was missing. But we have a Jewish WW2 artifact with history and owners name - please ask about it. Some of them you can see on our eBay store OrdersMedalsBadges. Guarantee: As you know for Holocaust artifacts it is very difficult to make Certificate of Authenticity - nobody has the right to do it, each of us has only his own opinion. And we cannot prove the authenticity - we was not there nor do we know the person that it belonged to. I think for most items of this sort of artifacts that unless you've known the person or were a family member, it is almost impossible to prove the authenticity. Also we are not a licensed dealers and can not give you a Certificate of Authenticity. For this purpose we give to all of our clients 3 days for inspecting the item - the item can be returned for any reason for a full refund (minus shipping costs, paypal or bank transfer fee...).
This is very important example of the history. A very sad reminder of a very sad time, but nevertheless a real piece of Jewish history to teach your children or for the avid collector of these items. You will appreciate and respect these items as we do not want to forget what these people went through. As long as we keep the memory alive in these collectables, we will always honour the sacrifice. These items are perfect for education purposes or just adding to your display. Whatever the reason is these are very unique items. Show them to your friends, and help your children learn. These items were used in history by those who were unwillingly subjected to the crewel world of War. MUSEUM grade item that puts a face on the Holocaust that any human being can grasp. 1. It is very strange, but we meet people who want to delete all Holocaust artifacts from Internet and from our memory. They hate the memory about that awful time. We'd like to repeat one more time: the main goal of this site is to help the people to remember those horrible time and never repeat them again. For this purpose we are making a lot of donations - please take a look. Fortunately most of people understand the goal of this site.
2. The Holocaust artifacts are very sensitive part of World history. Sometimes we are hearing the question why some items on your website are for sale, it have to be in a museums? The answer is simple: we have to make our museum and site alive and without support it is impossible. Only this way allow the museum and site to be alive and give the people possibility to see unique artifacts of Jewish Holocaust history. As you understand for today is impossible to find in Internet so many Holocaust artifacts in one place. BTW, we are going to donate all content of the museum and site.
3. Very often people ask where we got so rare Holocaust items. The answer is: we have been collecting them for more than 30 years. We are searching and buying items from veterans, archaeologists companies that work at World War II battlefields, also from private collectors and from museums. In 1990-1992 some museums in Ukraine (it was difficult time for the country) sold some Holocaust items to the public and we bought a lot of them. Also a lot of people want to sell or donate their artifacts via our site - you can see next to some items "selling by consignment". Our museum and site is non profit, non commercial. And we don't ask for donations, we are making a donations.
4. For today we don't have any catalogue for reference about Holocaust artifacts. We have written a catalogue "WW2 HOLOCAUST ARTEFACTS" and we are starting to publish it on our site for people who are interested in Holocaust armbands, patches, stars ... You can see it here.
